Even though the experiment was a failure, the research provided scientists with more knowledge about stem cells. Sometimes we have to weigh ethical reasoning against long term benefits. Stem cell research not only increases life expectancy and alleviates a patient’s pain, but can also bring breakthroughs in science. There could be mishaps in the experiment that lead to a deformed human, a cow, or a monster. Laws and regulations are important because they keep the research from getting out of control. However, we have to take a chance in stem cell research in order to advance in science.
