Is there a "pause" setting for my biological clock?

If I was in your shoes, I would just set my sights on waiting until I was 29 or 30. You will have been married only 3 to 4 years. It is only 4 to 5 years from now. It will give you the chance to be married without children, and have lots of fun and not worry about children. Maybe you should do some babysitting for married friends. It will probably help you wait. Especially if they are toddlers which are so much work and exhausting. Anyway, in the meantime you can work more, save more, work overtime (which is impossible for a working mother), go to college at night etc.. There is nothing wrong with feeling the way you do, but you can set a time and then let the thoughts go and concentrate on some other things you want to accomplish in the next couple of years. You are not waiting for it to be "perfect", you are just waiting for it to be "better". And that is great, because your child will benefit from whatever you do in the meantime.
