How to take off side mirror adhesive from your car?

Well the side mirror broke off all the way, so theres this black adhesive thing left that held the side mirror together. So one day the car was in the sun and there was a tree next to it, so it got pretty hot and the wind blew the tree so the tree smeared all of that adhesive on the window and the body of the car, it looks like ink but really hard to come off. Do you guys know any way to take it off?
