Florida versus Australia?

I'm keen to hear what your views are on the comparisons between Queensland, Australia and Florida, USA? They both have beaches, themeparks, sunny climates all year round...but how does life compare on either end of the Earth? From the standpoint of a potential migrant, where would you recommend they migrate to? Florida, or Australia?
