CARPET BURN ON FACE!!! ?

I got carpet burn 5 days ago on my face, in two areas under my nose and under my eye near my check. It doest hurt that much, it stings sometimes depending on what treatment I put on it, but now its left red/pink marks on my skin, i didnt pick it, i might have rubbed some of the dead skin of in the bath, but not picked at it or anything. I was wondering if these red marks will eventualy scar, or leave a mark on my skin? Ive been using savlon (anticeptic cream) and occasionaly Arciflex (antciptic cream for burns) It seems as though a layer of skin has gone, so do I need to wait for the skin to be replaced before it has properly healed? thanks in advance! :)
